Race 1 was abandoned Saturday afternoon due to a significant crash early in the race. Race 2 (8 laps) was won by Soutar/Rowe, followed by Fagan/Napier with Messina/Dewhurst in 3rd after a really good dice with Curran/James who finished 4th. Early leaders Hazelman/Hazelman re-gathered to finish after a spin. Race 3 (8 laps) was again won by Soutar/Rowe, followed by Fagan/Napier with Hazelman/Hazelman finishing 3rd after an off track excursion by the Walker/Walker team on lap 7. The field was dominated by Victorian & WA outfits, with only one team from NSW entered and another from SA. Congratulations to those who made such a big effort to kick off the national championship.
