ALMCC DISPLAY

Rob & Sandi (Equipe Camel) arrived about 7.45am & collected our passes from the gate, where el President, Kevin had left them for us.
We went to our spot which was in front of the Sidecar garages & proceeded to set up shop, with the help of a few enthusiastic Club members.Unfortunately the riders briefing interrupted this. How inconvenient! lol.
It seemed to take hours to arrange all the Bikes,T Shirts, tables etc & then the fun began.
We had a lot of interest from passersby who had been to the Swap Meet & were passing through to the Show & Shine.Several past members that we saw at the 100 year Anniversary, called in to say hello.

The Scoot Car attracted a lot of questions. Most of these were " What the f*** is it?". The mini Sidecar was a big hit with people who did not want anything on a larger scale & caused a lot of discussion on how to build one for the kids(big & small). The real enthusiasts were more interested in the racing Sidecars, both Dirt & Road Race, asking lots of questions.

The kids were busy getting their photos taken by Mum & Dad on the Pocket bike.
We sold lots of T Shirts, Stickers & collected a few Club Fees, as well as handing out flyer's to anyone who was interested.
Shar spent 2 days chasing people for the numbers boards, which helped the Club immensely. The winning ticket on Sunday, was No 69, won by Hamish. Thanks Shar, great job again.
Overall we had a fantastic day, with lots of interest from the crowds.
Sunday saw the start of the 2009 Q'ld vs NSW Sidecar Challenge. There were 6 teams that came down from Q'ld. Kev & I spoke to Davo, re the Interstate Challenge about some slight changes in the future. We will keep you posted if this occurs.
Thanks to PCRA for letting the Club have another display at Eastern Creek. We hope that we can continue to enter the Displays in the future.
Oh, by the way, there was also some racing on this weekend. Dags will type up a report for the website when he has some free time.
