Scheduled for the October long weekend, October 2-4, Lobethal Grand Carnival 2009 will celebrate the 70th Anniversary of the Australian TT and Grand Prix meetings held on the famous 8.65 mile circuit.

1939 AGP winner Allan Tomlinson, the event patron is expected to make the trip from New York where, aged 92, he now resides with his daughter.

Featured marques for 2009 are MG and Alfa Romeo.

With a capped field of 100 cars and 50 bikes, entry applications are being sought between now and January 30th 2009 to allow organizers maximum lead time to promote the event and present a field of the best possible machines, including actual cars and bikes which ran at Lobethal.

Cars - Racing or Open Sports

Bikes: Racing or Road Solo or Outfit

Category 1: Genuine Lobethal (raced at Lobethal between Dec 1937 and Jan 1948)
Category 2: Pre 1948 Period
Category 3: Pre 1962 Period

This is a great opportunity for anyone with a Classic solo or sidecar to bring it out of the shed and have a ride.
