Following a successful race meeting at Perth's Barbagallo Raceway, Team Aircom Castrol decided to take a leisurely ... 3,000km drive to Adelaide for round three of the Aircom Systems Australian Sidecar Championship.

We hit the road for our three day expedition and Steve showed us why he is the former World Champion - dodging Kangaroos, Emus and the odd Dingo on the long drive across the Nullabor.

We called in to famous Australian towns such as Kalgoorlie, Norseman, Eucla, Ceduna and Nullabor. However, the highlight of the trip had to be the Great Australian Bight. The stunning views and the sheer 200m drop was enough to encourage us all to treat this fantastic landmark with the respect that it deserved.

Neither Jamie nor myself weren't as adventurous as "Crocodile Abbott" and his sidekick Patto (Mark Patterson - fellow sidecar competitor). As you can see from the picture, both Patto and Steve were exploring unknown territory.

All in all we travelled 3,400km in three days, consumed copious amounts of red wine and had a fantastic time.
