Hi Guys, I am finally able to confirm the following dates for the 2008 Australian Sidecar Championship based on the Rider Survey conducted a month ago. Thanks to those who submitted a signed confirmation. Confirmed Dates: Sidecar Round 1 (AUSCO Rnd 2): 18 - 20th April Mallala Raceway South Australia. Sidecar Round 2 (AUSCO Rnd 7): 17 - 19th October Eastern Creek Raceway NSW. Sidecar Round 3 7 - 9th November Barbagallo Raceway, WA. As you can see, we only have three rounds, so please throw your support behind the series this year. I have provided a table of those who have committed for your information. Of significant interest is the inclusion of three New Zealand Teams. It should be a great season. If your name doesn’t appear on the following table please contact me ASAP. The WA round is shaping up as the round of the year, with support promised from the Motorcycle Racing Club of WA. Details will be passed on when finalized. Click "read more" to see the rest of the article ... Those teams that were unable to commit to the entire season, please make the effort to turn up to your Home Round and boost the numbers further. No’s Name State 1 Paul Pinfold WA 2 Warren Thompson WA 3 Rob Hair WA 4 Rod Walker WA 5 Shane Soutar Vic 6 *Vincent Messina Vic 7 Neville Hazelman Vic 8 Steve Hutchinson Vic 9 Ron Curran Vic 10 Mark Knight Vic 11 *Chris Grubb Vic 12 Andre Bosman SA 13 Darren Treloar NSW 14 *Mick Alton NSW 15 Stacey Sellar QLD 16 Steve Bron NZ 17 Dave Annan NZ 18 Chris Lawrence NZ * Denotes rider may have difficulty in attending one round We have the last round in WA this year, so for those of you who like to look ahead, we are proposing to hold our own Presentation night. This all has to be planned, so I will forward details when they become available. Needless to say, an opportunity to have a night out with the majority of the Sidecar Teams hardly ever comes around. So those who are flying or driving from the Eastern States, please stay the night and leave the next day! Thank you to Shane Soutar for his assistance to arrive at this point. Now its up to the rest of us to show our support for our Class. Best Regards Vincent Messina ASRA
